Customer Review: A great utensil holder
Summary: 5 Stars
This holder is every bit as functional as it is
pretty. I bought it based mostly on the color and
have enjoyed its' durability and style. It holds
tons of utensils but does not take up much room in
my small kitchen it is heavy enough that is won't
tip over and is easy to clean. I am glad I bought
this.

The glazes in the Provencale collection are transparent, creating bright, vibrant colors for your kitchen. A pot for utensils, for spices, or for stocking rice, pasta or beans, it's the most excellent all-round practical receptacle. Made from Ceradon ceramic, it is shock resistant. About Emile Henry... In the Burgundy region of France is the legendary maker of fine French cookware named Emile Henry. There, potters still hand craft each piece from the local Burgundy Clay - one of the purest of clays, and finish each one with a process known as CERADON, which makes them extremely solid and durable. Containing no lead , the clay is one of the best materials for baking and serving.Made of heavy stoneware that keeps a bouquet of kitchen utensils upright, this straight-sided crock from Emile Henry's Provencal line is saturated with color inside and out. The utensil holder measures 6 inches tall and 5-1/4 inches across its mouth, which is defined by a simple rolled lip. Otherwise, the holder is unadorned in classic Provencal style.
Renowned for their quality and durability, high-fired Emile Henry ceramics have been crafted in the Burgundy region of France since 1850. Even after years of use, the glossy, translucent glaze on Emile Henry stoneware won't discolor, crackle, or show utensil marks. While this crock probably won't need to go in the oven, freezer, or microwave, it is safe for all those applications and the dishwasher as well.
