I live alone; I love food but am a very lazy cook. And I loathe cleaning up afterwards. This is perfect for me. I'm not making more food than I can manage to eat. I can just throw some foil or plastic wrap on top and put the whole dish right in the fridge or freezer; take it right from there and into the oven or microwave. It fits right into the dishwasher (not taking up too much space) and baked on cheese was gone when the dishes were done. The color was exactly what I wanted: a deep, true red. I now have several more Emile Henry Provencal items on my wish list.
Description of Emile Henry Provencal 12-by-8-1/2-Inch Lasagna Baker, Cerise Red
This deep dish will enable you to make lasagna of up to 6 layers. This dish is also great for cooking delicious moussakas, gratins, enchiladas or even tiramisu! Generous and family-sized, the lasagne dish is easy to manipulate, thanks to its comfortable handles.Sized at 8-1/2 by 2-3/4 by 13 inches (11 inches in length excluding the two handles), this medium-size baking dish is perfect for smaller batches of lasagna or side dishes such as potatoes au gratin. Color saturates the outside of the baker, while the inside and top of the handles are glazed a bright white. The Ceradon ceramic is so durable that the pre-filled dish can go right from the freezer to the oven, saving preparation time. The extra-smooth glaze makes greasing unnecessary and clean-up especially easy. Provencal bakeware and dinnerware pieces come in several colors for contemporary mixing and matching.
